Christine (from Phantom of the Opera)
This drawing is certainly unfinished (I'm not sure if I want her to have dark or light hair), but I liked the general attitude of this portrait well enough, so I didn't want to mess with it too much. This portrait of Christine Daae is from of my series of drawings inspired by "Phantom of the Opera." (The 2004 Andrew Lloyd Webber/Joel Schumacher film with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum, and the 1990 TV movie with Charles Dance and Burt Lancaster are my main influences.) I wanted Christine have a young, innocent, and kind expression.
I'll very likely do other sketches of Christine, as I continue to experiment and explore my many options. But I like this drawing pretty well. Drawn in pencil.
