I have been drawing faces for a long time. I tend to doodle a lot of "pretty people." One of my sisters rolls her eyes when she sees these drawings—she's seen me do them ever since we were kids. "I recognize that face," she'll say. They all tend to have a certain "look." That's because I don't have a photograph of model to refer to when I do these drawings—I just make them up out of my head.
Hey, I don't apologize for the fact that they all have a similar "look" to them. Doodling these faces is fun! So, here are a few examples of my "pretty people." Among this collection of art are the beginnings of a series of drawings that I'm working on, inspired by "The Phantom of the Opera." (Click on a thumbnail image to see a larger version of the drawing, and then continue to the next sketch in the collection.)
This isn't my only art site (I have a few others which show a somewhat broader range of work) and I sometimes sell my artwork professionally. But this page isn't meant to be professional or serious. I just want to show some of my sketchbook drawings, but not pretend that they're anything perfect or terribly fabulous.
PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY OF THESE DRAWINGS on your own web page, as an avatar, message board sig graphic, or in any other way. I know it's really obnoxious for me to have to type this out in bold lettering, but some people can't seem to comprehend more subtle hints. These are all original copyrighted drawings. I get very cranky when I discover that people are using my artwork without my permission, so just don't do it.
